Crayon Physics Deluxe is now available for Mac and Linux \o/
If you’ve bought Crayon Physics Deluxe from you can now download the game for Mac and Linux as well. Go to to get your download link.

Also there’s a new PC version. The new version is numbered 55. And there are bunch of small changes. Nothing radical, but few bug fixes and improvements. Biggest change has been that the game now uses OpenGL instead of DirectX. Which means that you’ll probably won’t see any kind of actual change in the game. Unless the OpenGL implementation breaks the game for you. Which might happen… If that happens I’m sorry. The demo on the site is based on the older DirectX version so it’s not a good way to test if the actual game works on your system. We’re working on getting the demos up to date and on the site. Also we’re working on getting the demo for the other platforms as well.

For the Mac and Linux builds I have to thank Dennis Belfrage, Jani Hast, Ryan C. Gordon and the Humble Indie Bundle team.

Edit August 3th 2011 We updated both the Mac and Linux builds. Mac version should now finally work on the 10.5.8 and Linux version should now have fewer depencies. You can download the new version from our site or from Humble Bundle.

I bought the humble bundle. the bundle is nice but the crayon physics game is not working.
Is does not run on a natural Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
It does not run with wine (windows version).
It does not run via Steam under Linux.

    It’s a shame.

and now they deleted all comments in this section.
I hope “Humble Bundle” kicks ass of these Programmers and kicks them out forever.
They are making fast money and then disappear.
They are destroying ideas of humble etc. by seeling not running bulkware.

    Shame on you!!!

    Hi Urmel,

Thanks for letting me know about this. We fixed this issue a while ago, but apparently not all the Humble Bundle linux packages were fixed. I checked the packages .rpm package is the old one and it doesn’t work. The tar.gz. version should work. If it doesn’t let me know at

I’ll let the Humble Bundle folks know about this and it should be patched up soon.
