Crayon Physics Deluxe Beta is here
Huge thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered the Crayon Physics Deluxe. As an early Christmas present I’ve started emailing beta invitations of the game to all the pre-orderers. It’s going to take a little while to send out all the emails, so DON’T PANIC if haven’t gotten your email invitation yet. You should be able to get the beta before Christmas eve, unless the server explodes or something equally frighting happens.

Ohhh… I’m so excited to try the beta!!! I even asked for a wacom tablet for xmas so I (and my 3 year old) can enjoy this game to the full potential!!! Thanks for the early present Santa!

Forgot to pre-order until I saw this twitter pop-up. Just sent in my pre-order and hope I get in the beta. Wish I had saved $5 bucks by pre-ordering awhile back.
If it comes out on steam, I may be purchasing the game twice.

@Phokal: If you pre-order the game now, you’ll still get the beta version. Everyone who pre-orders the game will get the beta version.

Petri has allready said about 3 posts up that even who pre-order the game now will still get the BETA so yes, you still will get the beta

Just checked out the beta finished all the levels great stuff, really pleased to see the level editor in the beta
One question i noticed the upload button, where do they go to can i see other peoples?

WOW! I was so excited to get the beta e-mail!!! I downloaded it and have already made it through the first island… Can’t wait to finish and then play the whole game soon!!! Thanks for the early Christmas present!

I went to http://beta.crayonphysics.com/ just for fun and tried to sign in. It said “email not recognized”. I hope that’s just a fluke or something, because I did pre-order. I got your super secret code email so I should be all set right?

Just beat the beta. Very good, I like the style of the graphics, plays well on a laptop with a c2d @ 2.2ghz and a 8400gs.
Levels are kinda easy tho. No? Maybe limit the ball to only one push? Seems like the ball rolls forever on a fairly lite tap.
Great effort tho, physics seems right, weight and speed etc..
Need a tablet now.

Now, I wonder - could more weight be given to objects that are filled in vs hollow, such that a box that you ‘colour in’ is heavier?

I missed the $14.95 sale due to the fact I was without a home or PC but I am under a warm roof and as you can see an internet connection. I just pre-ordered the game and can hardly wait. Thanks!

My best guess is that if you payed $20 for CPD then it wasn’t a pre-order. You had to pre-order in order to be part of the beta. Everyone in the beta payed $15. I would assume this is the case but I’m not positive, I’m just guessing.

Well, for whatever reason… I am unable to download the beta… I paid $20. Got the email with the Key or Secret Code, and it says email not found on the beta login. Any ideas?

Kloonigames’ Petri Purho gave a talk about indie game development and the creation of Crayon Physics (which, if you haven’t tried it, is a MUST play you should go grab right now…). I mean, I do NOT get how the guy does what he does. Come on! (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Purho is the “game a month” guy!) The idea that any game made in a month might be any good is mind-boggling. The idea that one of them could be as amazing as Crayon Physics is, well, it’s whatever’s more incredible than “mind-boggling.” The fact that he repeatedly said of himself in his talk that he wasn’t much of a designer is just ridiculous.
