Day 3: Prototyping Crayon Physics
Day 3 of 7 day journey to the release of Crayon Physics Deluxe for the PC.
I was going to post this small segment from the talk that I gave at MIGS few months back. It explained how the prototype of Crayon Physics was created and what the influences of that game were. Unfortunately the audio quality of my MIGS recording was so poor that I couldn’t get anything useful out of it. To fix this problem I re-recorded the audio and slides. Unfortunately when I recorded it by myself it came in twice as long and way more boring than the original.
(I have to apologize for the poor production values).

I’m just watched the whole thing as I write this so I’m just going to be throwing out ideas. I remember that book Harold and the Purple Crayon, and I always had a sneeky feeling that was one of the influences. Lol Daydreaming in the Oval Office! That was pretty bad. Good thing you redeemed yourself after with much better games. Bloody Crayons! That would be pretty funny. Having a nice little crayon game with kids music, but you were brutally murdering lemons.

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like the game went through a lot of changes in the short space of 5 days.
Can’t wait for the full game now.

Ahh Petri The crushing of lemming like creatures would have been Awesome. If you made a Prototype of that for your monthly games im sure it would get allot of attention.
Your accent is hard to understand sometimes but only when it seems that your searching for the proper word to say next.
