Instead of talking about my games, I figured I’d make a few comments about blogs in general.

First, I don’t know if any human is reading this. These days it seems that most of traffic that comes here is in the form of bots. Probably scrapping this to train their LLMs on stolen content. Listen bots, if you use this to train your AI, it means your company owes me a billion dollars. This is a legally binding contract.

Second, I disabled comments on this blog back when GDPR rolled around. Probably didn’t have to, but the comments section seemed to be nothing but spam bots. Around the same time I decided to “child proof” WordPress. There are and were bots going around poking this website for WordPress vulnerabilities. Oh how I yearn for the human touch of an old fashioned hacker, typing SQL injection code by hand.

It’s a shame that blogging is dead now. The social media sites, that replaced the blogging, have now all turned to shit.

So you now you, dear human reader, you understand why I find it an act of human resistance to keep this blog running. Let’s see if I can keep it going leisurely for another 20 years.

It has been a long and rewarding journey to get Noita to this point. I’m really excited to see people play the game. Even after working on Noita for way too many years, I still really enjoy playing the game. I think we have something special in our hands.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog. There’s a good reason for it: laziness. Also I’ve been working on a very secret game with Olli Harjola and Arvi Teikari. Olli is known for being the guy behind the puzzle platformer The Swapper. Arvi is better known as Hempuli and he has created a ton tiny games and also the awesome Environmental Station Alpha. It’s been great working with such talented people and we’re very close to announcing our game. But before that we have to announce our company: Nolla Games.

I know it’s not that exciting to read about a company announcement. The only humans that get excited about company announcements are telemarketers (and most of the are really just robots pretending to be humans). So to appease the actual humans who have read this far we offer this gif as token of our gratitude. The gif teases our upcoming game. It is recorded in the engine that is used by our still unannounced and completely mysterious game of mystery.

Crayon Physics Deluxe is now available for the Android through Humble Bundle for Android. It’s the standard deal, you can pay what you want and you’ll get 4 to 5 other games for PC, Mac, Linux and Android. Games like: Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Splice, Waking Mars, Eufloria HD and Machinarium.

Humble Bundle release is sort of an beta release for the Android version of Crayon Physics Deluxe. When we’ve sorted out some of the bugs and patched up the game and added few other bonuses we’ll put the game on Google Play.
